What is a game character sprite sheet?
Let me tell you sir,
Through my research conducted, I have come to the understanding that a character sprite sheet is a image of an character’s many movements within a game. Namely. the jumps, walk cycle, death.. etc. This is all placed on a single image rather than in various single files. In other terms, it has multiple animation frames in a single image.
Sprite sheets are best used for 2d games and mobile game development.
The image below explains the simplest form of a sprite sheet: the animation strip. This is each frame of a characters movement of its action. All frames have the same size, and the animation is aligned in each frame.
